This will last you so long. I’m pretty sure I’ve had the same one since college. I have had to replace some of the individual colors, but other than that I’m pretty sure I’ve been using this same palette since college! I also love how portable it is… just fold it up and put it in a bag, then add water when using! Easy peasy.

I love this brand. It is my go-to. It is heavy weight to minimize the ‘wiggles’ in the paper when you add water. *You can use any type of paper, but it will get wiggly when wet! You’ll notice that in the link there are some size and binding options to choose from.

I like to sketch out (very lightly) my design before adding watercolors. I really love these pencils, as they don’t seem to smear as much as others and the eraser works really well!
-
Also have used these for years and they last forever! They are great for not using up the eraser on your pencil, especially when you are working on something larger OR when you’re needing A LOT of erasing.

As far as brushes, I have collected such a variety over the years! So I don’t necessarily have a favorite. A variety of brush shapes and sizes will be good to have. Here is a set of brushes that I think will get you off to a great start. I like that is comes with a carrying pouch! Again, great for easy transporting.
