Our booth at the Goats, Music and More Festival

This past weekend (October 7-8) was the 9th annual Goats, Music and More Festival in my home town of Lewisburg, TN. In case it isn’t clear by the name, the festival is to celebrate goats (the fainting goat, which is native to Marshall County, to be specific), music (with free concerts and battle-of-the-bands competition), and more, meaning lots of amazing fried food, as most fairs have, games and rides for kids, and lots and lots of booths!

There was a great turn out this year, which was probably due a lot to the gorgeous weather in the lower 80’s and sunny… a great weekend to be outside!

This was our first time setting up a booth at a craft fair, or any other type of fair. It was a great learning experience, and I talked to a few people who seemed interested in what we have to offer!

If you weren’t able to make it, here are a few pictures of our booth at the festival…

We sold the book I recently illustrated, Champ. Want to see more about this children’s book? Check out this previous post. We sold some of our hand-illustrated Christmas cards also. Check out our Etsy shop soon to purchase some of these cards for yourself!

My husband built me a wall  that I painted and used to hang some framed prints of illustrations and some hand-crafted wreaths. This worked great for display purposes!

I made some paper pom-poms and used some paper lanterns to hang from the middle of the tent to give it more of a “party” feel.

My aunt made some soap and all-natural body scrubs, and I made the labels!

Custom labels are a great way to add a personal touch to any item, whether it’s for a gift, special occasion, event or party. Have an idea for something? Contact us, and we’ll be happy to help!

We also had some custom invitation samples on display.

We also had some vintage jewelry for sale. Visit our Etsy shop for more vintage finds.

This weekend was special for another reason, also… it was our very first wedding anniversary! Yes, we got married on October 9, 2010 (10-9-10)! Time flies! Stay tuned for my next post, which will be our very own wedding invitations I designed, as well as some pictures from our day last year!!
