Last year, I worked with Megan and Josh, a local couple getting married at a nearby church in September. Being a late summer/fall wedding, they chose a burnt orange and calla lilies.
When working directly with brides for a custom invitation, I ask to send me images of whatever items they have collected for their wedding as inspiration for me. One if the pictures she sent to me was her guest book. It was a white satin book with damask embroidery on the front.
So knowing her colors, and being inspired from the pattern of the book, this is what I came up with.
They needed invitations and programs for their big day.
I used my hand-painted watercolor damask pattern, inspired from the pattern on the guest book. They also wanted their engagement picture included, which is always a great touch.
We printed their invitations on white card stock, and paired them with burnt orange envelopes, to emphasize their chosen wedding color.
They also needed wedding programs. We used the same watercolor pattern, for consistency, with all of their information for the guests.
